Captain Planet (Bastard Jazz Records/Mixtape Riot) brings his trademark eclectic mix of global bass, tropical house, afro-latin beats, and other genre-defying sounds that know no bounds. The past year saw the release of Captain Planet’s “Through The Wire” remix album, as well as a tour through the Middle East with fellow globetrotter Nickodemus, and a 3-month residency in Singapore. In 2016, we expect a lot more noise, with his “Toque” EP set to drop on the legendary Fania records in April and a new album in the works with Chico Mann.
